Carleton Community High School -Attendance and Success mentor

Grade 7 £23,398 - £25,951 (£10,793.72 - £11,971.44 Pro-rata and dependent on experience)

20 hours per week, Term time only + 2 INSET days

A permanent vacancy exists for an enthusiastic and passionate Success Mentor, hopefully with experience of working within a school setting.  The role is to work with students, family members, school staff and outside agencies to provide support and challenge to students who need help overcoming barriers to attendance.

The successful candidate will have Level 3 qualifications, GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent Inc. Maths & English.

You will understand the importance and benefits of good attendance and the negative consequences of poor attendance.  An understanding of issues affecting children, self-esteem, bullying, abuse and how to address these issues.

The personal qualities expected is someone who is able to relate to children in a calm, caring, approachable, firm but understanding manner.
