We are looking for an inspiring and talented Primary Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting and developing children. The role will include responsibilities including supporting children’s learning, undertaking playground duties, preparing resources and assisting the class teacher. You will be expected to uphold the policies of the school and support the school ethos.

 We are seeking to appoint a Temporary Learning Support Assistant working mainly on a 1 to 1 basis, to support pupils’ learning and provide support in managing pupils and the classroom.

Key skills and experience needed:

· A good team player who is resourceful and has an ability to show initiative

· Previous support work within a school or other child related experience for at least six   months

· Strong behaviour management of individuals and small groups

· Experience running interventions with individuals and/or groups

· Excellent communication skills, feeding back on progress of the children to class teacher

· Professional manner with an enthusiastic and friendly approach

·Strong and confident use of ICT, as well as the ability to read and write fluently and a confidence in the use of maths
