Inspirational Student Is Recognised By Princess Anne

Ryan Myhill, an 11-year-old at Carleton High School, was chosen to meet Princess Anne in London due to being recognised as a young carer. Ryan has been a carer for around 4 years now for his younger sister who has ADHD and learning difficulties. Ryan enjoys helping his sister with her homework, especially maths as that’s one of his favourite subjects in school. He also has a keen interest to learn about places in the world and British history.

This wasn’t the first time Ryan has been recognised by Princess Anne, infact he has met her 3 times now! The second time he met Princess Anne was for when he helped give emergency first aid to a gentleman at Doncaster train station who had stopped breathing, an amazingly brave act by such a young man.

Ryan is a force to be reckoned with and we are all so proud of his achievement.
